13_Modifying Annotations: merging, splitting and time modification (part 2)

This blogpost will cover the modification of annotations - removing annotation values, deleting annotations and copying/pasting annotations. 


The modification menu provides several options to modify already annotated time intervals. To view the modification menu, activate the desired annotation and right click. The functions of the modification tool covered in this blogpost include modifying and removing annotation values, deleting and copying/pasting annotations.

Modifying annotation values 

It is possible to modify the value associated with an existing annotation. 

To do so, select and activate the annotation you wish to modify, right click to view the modification menu, and select modify annotation value. If the annotation you are modifying has labels associated with that tier, then the label menu will appear. Select a new label and press enter. 

Alternatively, if the annotation you are modifying has text associated with that tier, then the text can be edited. Note, text associated with an annotation can also be modified by double clicking on the annotation.

Removing annotation vales 

It is possible to remove values associated with an existing annotation. 

To do so, select and activate the annotation you wish to modify, right click to view the modification menu, and select remove annotation value. This will remove either label or text values linked to that annotation.

Deleting annotations 

It is possible to completely remove an existing annotation. 

To do so, select and activate the annotation you wish to modify, right click to view the modification menu, and select delete annotation. This remove the entire annotation and values associated with it. 


Copying and pasting annotations 

It is possible to copy existing annotations and paste them to another location. 

To do so,  select and activate the annotation you wish to copy, right click to view the modification menu, and select 'copy annotation' (or CTRL + C). Next, click on the position you wish to paste the annotation, right click, and select 'paste annotation here'.
